Chaplaincy Care

The Chaplain provides spiritual care, support, worship experiences and the administration of sacred truths on a daily basis to staff and their families, patients and their relatives and visitors particularly in time of pain and distress.

Activities:

  • Bedside visits
  • Daily Staff Morning devotions
  • Prayer meetings
  • Counselling sessions when necessary
  • Distribution of food baskets and clothing
  • Birth anniversary celebrations
  • Weekly Worship sessions for Staff and patients
  • Distribution of annual devotional readings for all staff
  • Attending chaplaincy activities sponsored by GUYC, IAD &
  • AHI.

Outcome:

  • Baptisms
  • Baby dedications
  • Staff guidance and encouragement
  • Conflict resolution between and among Staff
  • Encouragement to patients
  • Faith building and trust in God
  • Support for grieving relatives and friends of deceased patients
